A "cloudstreet" is a row of thermals marked by cumulus clouds. When gliders fly from thermal to thermal by following the clouds, they "fly the cloudstreet", staying aloft for miles. Cloudstreet is the Australian duo John Thompson and Nicole Murray. John plays guitar and takes lead vocals. Nicole plays flute and sings harmony. Their songs are traditional (including a couple of long ballads), or contemporary but based on the tradition. Nicole also leads on several instrumental tracks.
A fine duo. After a number of festival bookings this year they head home in October, but will return in 2005. Well worthwhile looking out for.
