Two Short Planx (Poke Records Prod 013)

WoodworX is based round two Australians, Toni Wood and Brian Heywood. Toni is the main singer, she has a rich, powerful voice and Brian sings, plays the guitar and has composing and producing credits.
Other members of the band are Donna Whitlock on percussion and Thomas Fairburn, violin.
The special guests list is too long to mention and is confusing, making it difficult to decide with certainly who's playing what. The principle-featured instrument is the violin and I also detected some accordion.
Stand out tracks for me are the almost unaccompanied, 'Gloomy December' (where Toni gives it the full treatment) and the traditional ballad 'Streets of Forbes'.
