Crucible is Gavin Davenport (guitar), Helena Reynolds (fiddle and border pipes), Richard and Jess Arrowsmith (melodeon and fiddle). They are also involved in morris and two ceilidh bands Hekety and Jadadaw. Needless to say, they are very accomplished
Their music varies from instrumentals 'From Night 'til Mom', to four part harmony 'Harvest Song'. The women lead on 'The Devil and the Farmer's Wife' and Gavin solos on' Poor Man's Labour'.
